These have a few extra gears between the 3 original ones - but what we really need is a wider range to deal with the hills (up & down).Amandanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7109378176648403566.post-72636244400877611372010-08-26T12:01:34.042-04:002010-08-26T12:01:34.042-04:00I have never seen the 5-speeds.

I have had a camera thrown out of my basket when I was biking in Wildwood and hit a bump. Luckily it was well padded in it's case.Nataliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13401167488887423518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7109378176648403566.post-67963934629159339862010-08-26T11:32:15.899-04:002010-08-26T11:32:15.899-04:00There are five speed bixis out there now :)... the...There are five speed bixis out there now :)... they are awesomeMax Grahamhttp://www.maxgraham.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7109378176648403566.post-55425867705537828752010-08-26T11:12:25.341-04:002010-08-26T11:12:25.341-04:00There is no similar program in Vancouver due to ou...There is no similar program in Vancouver due to our helmet law. Bikes can be rented at most bike shops but it is very expensive $35.00 for six hours. Most of the bike rental places are close to the seawall and Stanley Park where tourists can rent a bike, usually a mountain bike or
bicycle built for two with helmets. There are more and more dedicated bike lanes in the city and there are more and more people riding bikes and abandoning their cars for the daily commute.

My own bike weighs 28 lbs. and the weight goes up to 34 lbs when I add the weight of two locks, a bike tool kit, a first aid kit and two water bottles. Something like the Montreal program would be excellent for Vancouver except for the helmet law.

The helmet law is only enforced down here in the DTES so the police can harass poor people. i have never seen a tourist riding along with his or her helmet dangling from the handlebars get a ticket from the feckless cops.

DADAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
